About Cassie

Cassandra Kildow is a native Texan who lives in a small town in the Texas Panhandle with her five-year-old son, ailing mother, and step-father. Cassandra picked up writing at the tender age of twelve, as a way to cope with middle school bullying. Every fantasy world she created was her way of escaping the difficulties of real life. Fortunately, those troubles gave Cassandra a push in the right direction with her decision to write fiction novels. Spinning Into Infinity is Cassandra’s first published novel.

Full Name: Cassandra Janine Kildow (prefers Cassie)

Place of Birth: Colorado Springs, Co

Early life: There isn’t really much I remember about my childhood as I was in a freak car accident when I was little that wiped most of my memory. I do remember that I loved to read. The Junie B. Jones books were my favorites, and then I moved on to the Goosebumps books.

Education: I went to Middle and High School in a little town called Clarendon in the panhandle of Texas. English was always my favorite subject because it came so easy to me. I didn’t actually start writing until I moved to that little town and met my then best friend. We always used to joke that we influenced each other.

Influences: There are many authors that I love, so I couldn’t really single out one. I read mostly fantasy novels, as that is also what I write, so its a pretty wide genre. I’ve read the Twilight Saga, all the Harry Potter novels, Percy Jackson and all the connecting series’, Cirque du Freak, and the Morganville Vampires series. Just to name a few 😉

Family: I live with my mom, step-dad, and five year old son.

Spare Time: I do still work full time, so I don’t have much free time to do things. I’m usually at work or at home with my family. Of course, I use every second of free time I do have to write my books.
